Rendezvous at Midnight
Rendezvous at Midnight is a music playlist website project to showcase Jazz and its subgenres. Via the playlist and the website, guests and listeners will can discover diverse variants of Jazz through different artists mainly from the asian musical scene.
As part of an academic project, this website was designed as my first web and front-end development project. The goal of the project was to build a website offering a selection of music, with playback and form-based addition features.
For this first-year project, I opted for a presentation of jazz that highlights its many facets, which are often overlooked by the general public.
The website aims to bring an immersive experience and spatial dimension to the project. It plunges visitors into a sunset in the heart of the city, a setting that echoes these symbols of jazz.
Moreover, it invites visitors to discover the highlights of the selection in detail, step by step, through a 3D carousel that complements the spatial aspect of the site.
The visual identity of the project captures the elegant atmosphere of an evening event, like a musical rendezvous. The warm colours and serif, thin typography also reference a graphic style that is very common in the world of jazz.
